Here’s a dumb looking Ponyo doodle that I painted today

Here are my sketches from the Dr. Sketchy’s LA event last week at Titmouse. The model was wearing different Halloween masks for every pose, so I wound up just making up faces. The only one where I didn’t make up the face is the one where the model has a tiger head. Continue reading

Hey guys! If you haven’t seen the magic that is Googy (a current “prime time” show on Channel 101), you’re really missing out. It’s pretty fantastic. I had the good fortune of helping out on the latest episode (episode 3), and I just threw together this doodle tonight while thinking about the show.
Oh, and here are a couple of the props I built for the show: a giant piece of bacon and a dog with sunglasses. Look for them in the episode!

Bought some brush markers in Little Tokyo the other day and they are so fun to draw with! Here are some drawings of RAZ and Deborah that I’ve done over the past couple days. I’ve done even more, but the rest are too spoiler-filled to post. Enjoy!

Had a blast at the CTN Expo in Burbank! Wasn’t in town long, but did squeeze in a visit to Tiki Ti with Kali Fontecchio and Stuart Livingston. Kali drew this doodle on a receipt, and I inked & colored it in Illustrator this evening. Check out the original after the jump.

Remember a couple months ago when I posted this guitar-slingin’ “Sloth Dude”? Well, he’s back, but looking a little different. These are some doodles I did today of the character, but with a much more cartoony, stylized look (and he was already pretty cartoony to begin with). I was just playing around with some goofy expressions and emotions, and I really like the results. Stick around for full-color versions.

Hey folks! I promise I will draw something other than RAZ soon, I’ve just been drawing him a lot recently. It had been a while since I messed with him, and I felt like experimenting with some new RAZ stuff. Came up with some really good material, but I’m gonna keep it under wraps for now.
In the meantime, here’s a quick pencil sketch that I’ll share with you. Tomorrow I’ll make an effort to draw something else!

Working on some more secret stuff, so I don’t have a lot to share today. However, just so you don’t leave empty handed, here’s a doodle I drew of RAZ in a notebook.
Also, I’ll be in San Francisco for a few days taking a mini-vacation, so don’t be surprised if I fall off the map for a minute. I’ll be back before you know it, though!
If you’re real good, maybe I’ll post something from the road via the WordPress app on my phone.

Doug is a character from my old webcomic, Momo and Friends (circa 2006). Today I was messing around with re-designing him in the style of The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, just for kicks. Here’s what I came up with. I’m actually pretty amused with it. I might try coloring it in soon.
